🚜 Where to get CSA boxes in Orlando

Chicken and eggs at Everoak Farm in Central Florida

Ever been in mid-conversation with a friend when they abruptly cut you off so they can run home and take their CSA box inside and you’re left standing there dumbfounded about wtf just happened or what a CSA box even is? That was me three years ago — thankfully, after a quick Google search, I learned that CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and it’s one of the nicest things you can do for your community. Here’s why.

Shopping CSA is the most direct way to support local farmers and control where your food is coming from — outside of growing it yourself, of course. It’s quite literally like a farmers’ market arriving on your doorstep every week.

Here are seven local farms that offer a CSA box subscription option:

🌽 Infinite Zion Farms in Parramore. I cannot say enough nice things about the founders, Raymond and Charette Warthen. I’ve kept up with them since their days of operating in Apopka. They currently offer a CSA weekly subscription that starts at $5.  Get on the list here.

🍅 Frog Song Organics in Hawthorne (Alachua County). Frog Song is one of the more popular farms for CSA subscription programs and has been offering them up since 2012. Prices start around $40 for individuals and go up from there. See which plan makes sense for your lifestyle here.

🌱 Fleet Farming in Orlando. Fleet Farming already does so much good work in our community, but did you know they offer a CSA box too? Prices start at $20 a week for half-an-order or $35 for a full. Check out the ins and outs here.

🌶 Big Daddy’s Farm in Oviedo. Rex and Denise Clonts grow certified organic produce on their 150-acre farm, inspired by his grandfather who did the same for 70 years prior. CSA boxes start around $20 a week for individuals and increase from there. Get on the list for their next seasonal CSA box here.

🍓 Central Florida Organics (various farms around Florida). CFL Organics is a premier organic produce delivery service in Central Florida and it serves Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties. Boxes start at $30 and are able to be modified week-to-week.. Here’s how to sign up.

🍆 Wild Hare Kitchen & Garden Emporium in Longwood. Wild Hare stocks the finest, most delicious, local clean produce, meats, egg, honey and raw milk products in the area daily. You can shop the health hub in-person from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday or 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. See what’s on the menu this week here.

🥚 Everoak Farm. This family-owned small bio-intensive farm offers fresh fruits and vegetables right off the vines/trees, keeps bees, and raises chickens. And you can support it via its farm stand or the seasonal and annual CSA box programs.
