🗳️ Which of these small businesses gets your vote?

Welcome to a fresh new week! “Myth: Food banks only provide dry goods, like canned veggies, rice, beans and cereal. Fact: Second Harvest distributes a variety of nutritious foods, including fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen meats, dairy and even bread.” Thanks for the tag @feedhopenow, and for the picture 📷: @jewett_ortho. What Orlando is talking about

Electric Daisy Carnival, a three-day electronic music fest at Tinker Field, announced its full lineup for November’s event, including OG artists like Alison Wonderland, Diplo, Deadmau5, Kaskade, and Steve Aoki. Outside of electronic music, the festival might also be Orlando’s most bizarre costume weekend. (Orlando Weekly)

The new Showtime show “On Becoming a God in Central Florida” premieres Sunday at 10 p.m., and there’s still hope for non-Showtime subscribers to check it out. The first two episodes are already posted online on YouTube and Sho.com and are yours for the watching. (Deadline)

It’s go time, Orlando

Today we’re announcing the top three entries in our contest with local freelance collective Jolly Roger.

In an exclusive contest with Pulptown readers, Jolly Roger made an offer to give away free marketing, branding, and design to a small business who needed the help. All we asked is for you to fill out a quick form explaining what you’re looking for and why.

Almost 20 of you applied for or nominated someone for Jolly Roger’s kind offer. The stories you submitted were compelling, compassionate and reminded us of all the reasons we love this city.

But, after careful deliberation, we’ve narrowed it down to these top three:

  1. Grounding Roots, a family- and friend-owned juice bar in College Park that is looking for help to expand its reach
  2. Kickbike America, a new concept of human-powered scooters (including dog-friendly scooters) owned by Dave. Dave says he has a good product but could some help marketing it.
  3. Turbo Auto Spa, an auto-detailing business started by a 19-year-old badass to help her family make ends meet after her mom passed away two years ago.

You’ve got until Friday to vote on your number one pick. Tell us here who you think deserves to win. We’ll check back in on Wednesday before announcing the winner in Monday’s newsletter.
