Neighborhood Spotlight on Mills 50

Orlando’s Mills 50 neighborhood was voted as one of the top 12 U.S. neighborhoods to live in 2018 by pop culture website, Thrillist.

Mills 50 is the intersection of Mills Avenue (also known as State Road 17/92) and Highway 50 (also known as Colonial Drive) and first gained its popularity as a major retail corridor. In the early 1980s, it was further stimulated after a huge Vietnamese population moved to the area post the Vietnam War and opened up shops, restaurants, and other businesses.

Now the Mills 50 area is made up of equal parts delicious Asian eateries but also craft cocktail bars, cool coffee shops, colorful murals and art on every corner, and a more than stellar live music scene.
